...and not precisely for something good. A pretty poor way to celebrate our national day which is today, but I figured this deserves a mention... By the end of the day I'll be uploading a drawing taking out politics.
Yes, some days ago the trial of the Gürtel case began. Many papers in my country have already described it as a historical trial, since we're talking about one of the biggest corruption scandals (along with the Black Cards case) in modern Spanish history.
In case you don't know, Gürtel Case is a corruption case strictly involving... *drums roll* ...our Right-wing party, Partido Popular! What is this all about? Oh, well, firstly the five former treasures of the party (including Luis Barcenas) are imputed, and...wait for it... this is the case which has caused our Right-wing party to finance itself illegally (they even made a power-point titled "How to finance your party illegally without no one noticing". It came up in El Mundo on Monday this week.) AND some of the main actors even have bank accounts in Switzerland.
The details are better explained here: www.theguardian.com/world/2016…
Ah, the trial for the Black Cards case also started a few days ago. And this is wa bigger, because it involves members of all parties (except Podemos which didn't exist by the time the cards were being used.) And also, the former IMF leader and former Caja Madrid leader Rodrigo Rato (yeah, this guy broke the record, he is involved in at least 4 corruption cases already - Black Cards, Panama papers, Gürtel, and another one I can't remember right now.)
Take a peek at what this case is like here: www.theguardian.com/business/2…
Those are just two of the tons of corruption cases my country has to deal with. And taking out Black Cards case (which involves members of all parties) and Ere case (which concerns the Andalusian part of our Socialist party), all the rest involve strictly Partido Popular.
I have a solution to get rid of all the corrupts: KILL. THEM. ALL. Hehe, Ok, not really. I just want them locked up in prisons (and if judges make them give back the money they have stolen, better.)
